Groovy’s Auction

July 3rd, 2009

HOST-Groovy will be holding a Silent Auction on Independence Day weekend!

Visit Groovy’s room to view the goods that are up for auction and use the M button to make a bid with the word “Auction” as the subject line. Watch the “What’s Happening” feature to view the current high bid. At the end of an hour of bidding, the winners will receive their goods and a new round of bidding will open shortly after.

Several never before released goods will be available at the auction, and you can be one of the few to get your hands on them! And best of all, all proceeds will go to the scale of good.

To visit Groovy’s room, use the Elves and Places Feature at the bottom right of the screen. The auction starts Saturday, but you can start viewing the items that we’ll be auctioning off starting Friday night.

Each player may only win one of each good and will not be allowed be place further bids on the same good.. Your Elf will not be given individual credit for these Scale of Good donations.

Prehistoric Sneak Peek

July is here and Elf Island is preparing for our Prehistoric Celebration! Thursday, July 02, all elves are invited for a sneak peek at some of our upcoming goods in HOST-Lily’s home.

Our Prehistoric goods will be in the Holiday Curio very soon, but if you want to be one of the first to catch a glimpse of them, here’s your chance! Visit Lily’s home tomorrow between 6pm-9pm Eastern to take part in the sneak peek.

To find HOST-Lily’s home, click on the elves and places button at the bottom right of your screen. Then click the top homes tab and search for “HOST-Lily”.

Happy 4th of July islanders!

Only July 4th, 1776, the United States Declaration of Independence was signed. To celebrate the holiday, Elf Island has released the USA Firecracker in the Holiday Curio. This limited time good is only available to members and in the store until July 5th.

The Confetti Firecracker will also be rereleased as a Host prize until July 5th, so make sure to participate in the daily Host events for your chance to win one!

We’re encouraging elves all across the island to throw their very own July 4th Parties! Dress in your best red, white and blue outfit and stop in the Wingdome to purchase everything you’ll need for your own 4th of July weekend cookout. The Elf Island Hosts will also be on the lookout for these July 4th Parties. Between July 3rd and July 5th, the Hosts will be visiting player’s islands, passing out a red, white or blue balloon to players.

Panda GoodQuest Giveaway

Elf Island’s Panda GoodQuest is coming soon and the Elf Island Hosts will be spreading the word!

Tomorrow only (July 1st), dress in black and white like a Panda and find a Host to receive a special prize. Hosts will be traveling around the island all day, so keep your eyes open.

Only one prize per elf. Do not use the M button to request a prize.

Prehistoric Month is Coming!

The end of June is almost here, and along with it comes an end to Elf Island’s Under the Sea celebration. Of course, we’re already working hard on a theme for next month that we’re sure the islanders are going to enjoy.

Recently some rare, prehistoric fossils were unearthed on Elf Island. To commemorate this event, Elf Island will be holding a Prehistoric celebration during the month of July. So what kind of Prehistoric goods do you want to see next month? Post your wish lists here and you never know… you just might see some of your ideas come to life!

Under the Sea Decorating Contest

It’s time to take a journey under the sea! Elf Island is holding an Under the Sea themed home decorating contest this week.

To submit your room, please send a request through the M button between June 25 and June 27. In your M button message, be sure to specify which one room of your home that you want to have judged. There is no need to remain in your room to wait for the judge.

We’ll be looking for rooms that are unique, creative, and take advantage of our Under the Sea goods. The 10 best rooms will be featured in The Tide next week and will receive a special prize and coins.

Please only enter your room in the contest once. Any judging requests sent on a date other than June 25, 26 or 27 will not be included in the contest. Prizes will be given by Monday, June 29.

Nutrition GoodQuest Expedition

As part of Elf Island’ Nutrition GoodQuest Party, we’d like to present our GoodQuest Expedition! We’re challenging the elves of Elf Island to explore our virtual world, follow clues and answer questions. And for those who manage to complete the Expedition successfully… a great prize awaits!
